Biography
Dr. Carlos Rish brings over four decades of compassionate, whole-person care to his role as Medical Director at CML Health. Fellowship-trained, Dr. Rish believes in treating each patient not just as a collection of symptoms, but as a complete individual—biologically, psychologically, and socially. His mission is to help every person live life to the fullest through personalized, respectful care.
Dr. Rish earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, followed by extensive postgraduate training in general surgery, urology, and family medicine in New York. He served as Chief Resident at South Nassau Communities Hospital and holds fellowships with both the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. He is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and actively involved in local and national medical societies.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Rish has additional training in emergency medicine, infertility care, and surgical procedures. Patients value his depth of experience, calm demeanor, and commitment to long-term wellness.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Rish enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, as well as hiking, swimming, reading, and traveling.
